GaBI Journal (official Journal of the Generics and Biosimilars Initiative) is an independent and peer reviewed academic Journal – it encompasses all aspects of generic and biosimilar medicines development and use, from fundamental research up to clinical application and policies.
In the early 1980s, a few visionaries working in European oncology laid the foundations of the Federation of European Cancer Societies (FECS) at a time when multidisciplinary in cancer care – the idea that tackling cancer was a team effort that required a coordinated approach – was a relatively new concept. Twenty-five years later, multidisciplinary is accepted everywhere as being the best way to treat cancer.
European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) is the leading European professional organization representing medical oncologists. The Society focuses on a multidisciplinary approach to treatment and has expanded to include radiation and surgical oncologists, as well as other healthcare professionals involved in cancer care. ESMO aims to unite physicians, caregivers, and patients in a global alliance committed to combating cancer and ensuring equal access to quality multidisciplinary treatment.
The International Society of Oncology (ISOPP) exists since 1996. At the biannual ISOPP congress in Prague, April 2000, delegates of 17 European countries decided to initiate a European chapter of the ISOPP, the European Society of Oncology Pharmacy (ESOP).
ISOPP Mission, Constitution & Rules The International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners will promote and enhance oncology pharmacy practice worldwide in order to improve cancer patient care.
